Saturday 5th March 2016 will stick in the minds of 23 Daniel Owen team members for many years to come, for it was the day that they attacked the Nuts Challenge. In the words of the event organisers it was the worst weather they have ever ran the event in and that was clear to see, on the way down to the Dorking countryside we drove through snow, wind and rain - 3 things you don't want to see when you know that the mother of all assault courses is waiting for you.

Despite the weather, Team spirit remained high and we approached the start line with a definite feeling of adrenaline, excitement and dread, knowing that ahead of us were 100 obstacles and a distance of 7k.

Tackling the course could easily be described as going to hell and back, wadding through ditches waist height in muddy freezing water, scaling 20ft cargo nets, sliding down mud hills and pulling yourself through narrow dark tunnels. It was a massive test of endurance, stamina and mind power, reaching the finish line filled everyone with not only a massive sense of relief but also achievement. Well done to all who not only took part but conquered the challenge, you all did unbelievably well and as predicted we've already been asked when the next one is!
