At Daniel Owen, We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 FM Contractor who is in the market for Fabric Engineer/Multi Trader on a Permanent basis. This is a Mobile position, so a company vehicle and fuel card will be supplied.
Main Duties & Responsibilities | |
1 | To maintain appropriate qualifications and up-to-date trade knowledge as may be required for the safe and efficient performance of duties, specifically in the carpentry and fabric trades. |
2 | To apply the relevant trade skills to undertake scheduled, planned and reactive maintenance tasks proactively or as directed. This will include the maintenance, repair and installations works for tasks such as internal and external doors and frames (including fire doors), timber partitioning/dry lining, 1st and 2nd fix carpentry and fire prevention works (doors collars, partitioning etc) |
3 | To immediately report and/or make safe, to the appropriate place or person, any potentially dangerous or hazardous situations. |
4 | Carry out minor building fabric & decoration works as directed. |
5 | Support Facilities Site Officers in their duties if required. |
6 | To manage workload using PDA handheld device and be familiar with Maximo or similar asset management software system. |
7 | To ensure the satisfactory, prompt and accurate completion of any associated paperwork as required by the company |
8 | To advise on parts/labour for additional works interfacing with suppliers as required and to recommend and maintain an adequate stock level to ensure service delivery |
9 | To oversee specialist contractors and to escort where required |
10 | To participate in the on-call rota on an agreed rota basis where required. |
11 | To fulfill Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety management Plans. |
12 | To comply with Company Policies, Management Plans and Procedures and adhere to Client polices and procedures where appropriate. |
13 | To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department/Service. Significant permanent changes in duties will be require agreed revisions to be made to this Job Description. |
