Fire Stopper required to join a Social Housing project in Exeter. As a Fire stopper, you'll be responsible for competently carrying out fire stopping jobs for our clients as well have having other multi-skills such as Carpentry, Plastering, Painting and Decorating, and Windows and Doors etc.
You will need experience working in both domestic and commercial properties.
The working hours are 07:30-17:00 Monday-Friday. Our client has advised this is an ongoing role.
The work will involve general labouring, keeping site clean and tidy as well as assisting trades and the site team.
The site is accessible by public transport and parking is available.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Experienced Fire Stopper with a proven track record in fire stopping industry.
- Own transport

- Good communication
- FIRAS or NVQ level 2 in fire stopping
- References for your work as a Fire Stopper
- PPE
- The ability to perform physical manual labour
Role & Responsibilities
- Install fire stopping materials in accordance with building codes and safety regulations
- Inspect and assess areas requiring fire stopping solutions, ensuring all installations meet industry standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, to ensure seamless integration of fire stopping systems
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to health and safety protocols
- Perform routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to execute fire stopping tasks accurately.
- Ensure all fire stopping work is completed in accordance with FIRAS certification requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all fire stopping activities, including materials used, locations, and completed works.
