Are you a skilled tradesperson with a passion for delivering high quality repairs and maintenance services? We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Trade Operative to join our Homes team and help us provide safe, warm, and well maintained homes for our customers.

🔧 About the Role

As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you'll carry out a range of joinery, plumbing, and general building tasks across occupied and empty properties. You'll be responsible for delivering efficient, effective repairs and planned maintenance projects while ensuring excellent customer service and workmanship.

🏡 Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance across homes and void properties

  • Strive for first-time fixes and maintain tidy workspaces

  • Use mobile technology to record and manage tasks in real time

  • Work safely and in line with Health & Safety legislation

  • Liaise professionally and courteously with customers

  • Participate in emergency call-out rota when required

  • Maintain van stock and ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good order

  • Identify and report safeguarding or property condition concerns

  • Support apprentices and share technical advice with colleagues

  • Attend team and corporate events to contribute to service development

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent in at least two trades (e.g. joinery, plumbing)

  • Strong knowledge of multi-skilled building activities

  • Health & Safety awareness

  • Valid UK driving licence

  • Computer literacy or willingness to learn software systems

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Commitment to customer service and continuous improvement

Desirable:

  • Experience in housing or similar environments

  • Knowledge of repairs legislation and Awaab's Law

  • Asbestos awareness

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

  • Understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity

  • Ability to support apprentices and advise colleagues

  • Empathy and professionalism in customer interactions
