Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a leading Contractor in the Hackney area that are looking for a brand new Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following;

• Procurement of Sub-Contractors: Ensuring consultants and supply packages are within pre-agreed budgetary constraints.
• Tender Analysis: Properly analyzing work package tender returns, attending pre-start meetings, and submitting detailed order placement recommendations to the Senior and/or Managing Quantity Surveyor
• Claims Administration: Administering sub-contractor, consultant, and supplier claims, subject to approval by the Managing and/or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Final Accounts: Properly administering final accounts of sub-contractors, consultants, and suppliers in accordance with the commercial interests of the company.
• Design Team Meetings: Attending design team meetings to ensure compliance with the contract and minimize unnecessary costs.
• Senior Quantity Surveyor Role: In the absence of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, carrying out their role as adequately as possible and informing the Managing Surveyor and/or Heads of the Commercial Department of any difficulties.

Requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying
• Chartered member of RICS or working towards it
• Excellent knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract (NEC & JCT) and Standard Methods of Measurement
• Knowledge of Building Regulations (including Part B)
• Knowledge of NHBC Standards
