Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor Overview:

I am looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join my client on a permanent basis working on their Social Housing Responsive Repairs and Planned refurbishment works programs, such as Kitchen, Bathroom and Roofing refits. This is a Hybrid position which will involve both site and office work, so flexibility to travel is a must.

You will work closely with the Operational teams in Basingstoke and the surrounding areas of Hampshire and Berkshire, covering contracts across the region, which are typically planned refurbishment works of Tenanted Social Housing properties (typically covering all aspects of refurbishments to properties including Kitchens, bathrooms, doors and roofing replacements).

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

• Monitor the contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and or time scale
• Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements
• Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors
• Assist in the control of contract budget's
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects
• Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client's representative
• Prepare monthly valuation reports
• Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time.
• Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers when necessary, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills
• Assist in the development of the procurement programme
• Assist in the preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to demanding timescales
