Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a leading maintenance company in the North London area who are looking for a brand new supervisor to join their team covering all repairs projects in North London.
They are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to manage a team of operatives covering all repairs maintenance across the North London area.
Duties:
- Ensure that all planned works are carried out in line with manufacturer instructions. All current standards, industry best practice and regulations to be adhered to, to meet and exceed customer expectations within every aspect of the project.
- Ensure all paperwork produced is clear, concise and complies with current legislation and best practice.
- Manage Subcontractors on site to ensure work packages are delivered.
- Negotiating with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Work closely with the Programme Manager and Quantity Surveyor to price works
- Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as customer site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
- To develop an effective and positive working relationship with all members of staff and customer's staff.
- Ensure a professional image is presented to customers and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
- Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.
- Have the ability to liaise with multi trades used within a plant room rebuild or commercial boiler swap out ranging from 100Kw potentially up to 5Mw (combined)
Key Knowledge:
- Pragmatic, efficient and confident approach to decision-making.
- Great communicator, who is able to turn technical jargon into information understandable to
different audiences of GEM (staff, clients, customers etc.). - Translate drawings and schematic diagrams and have a keen eye for detail.
- Have strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Able to learn new processes in a reasonably fast-paced way.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of own activity related to projects on a PDA
to enable traceability. - Ability to resolve problems with own initiative/experience.
- The ability to safely lift and carry a range of materials and equipment.
- Competent to work at heights from steps, scaffolds and mobile elevating work platforms.
- Fulfil the role of Mentor as and when required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
