This is a privately owned, owner managed Construction Consultancy that can boast several decades of experience in professional practice. Over this time they have evolved into a highly dynamic multi-disciplinary construction consultancy offering both Building Consultancy as well as Project Management and Quantity Surveying services and maintained an excellent client base with repeat business still a high factor in their workload.
As this has recently grown they are now looking for an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their Birmingham office. They have a broad range of work and are looking for experience in areas such as dilapidations, party wall and defect analysis, for example, as well as project management, contract admin, writing specifications and schedules of work. Candidates should have a good understanding of construction contracts and cost control. We would anticipate the successful candidate to hold a degree in Building Surveying with circa 2-3 years experience working ideally within private practice or consultancy. Ideally we're looking for someone who is currently working towards MRICS chartership which this firm is able to provide full support in achieving.
