We're looking for a self motivated Assistant Project Manager to manage a busy refurbishment programme within the leisure sector. This new opportunity is with an extremely well established and reputable construction consultancy based in Birmingham city centre.
The role will involve working as part of a team to deliver a rolling, fast paced refurbishment programme for a Hotel chain using a framework agreement. There would therefore be some travel involved and you will need to be able to work autonomously delivering a number of different schemes concurrently.
The day to day activities will include the administration of the works instructing the contractor, on site checking quality of workmanship, liaising with hotel operators, defining scope of works, establishing and monitoring budgets/cost reports, reviewing quality, placing and coordination of FF&E orders, valuing the works and agreement of final accounts. The successful candidate will work with contractors, operators and the Hotel Refurbishment Team.
We are ideally looking for a candidate with experience in the Construction Project Manager role preferably with previous experience of working for clients in the leisure sector, although similar fields such as retail would also be of interest.
