I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client who is looking for an Assistant Site Manager in Exeter. The working hours will be 8am-5pm Monday to Friday with the potentual to work weekends during busy periods.

The contractor is a nationwide volume house builders so experience on a timbre frame housing site would be an advantage.

They are seeking a time served assistant to work with an award winning site team. The ideal candidate will be good with clients and focused on finishing good quality houses.

Abilities of an Assistant Site Manager Include:

  • Work closely with the Site Manager, Contracts Manager and Surveyor implementing any agreed actions and acting accordingly
  • Ensuring that the project requirements, specifications, design drawings, health and safety proposals are all read, understood and agreed and that a project programme is in place
  • Prepare, implement and monitor company policies, detailed programmes, management plans, environmental and site specific procedures to ensure that these are adhered to
  • Prepare information required to schedule in collaboration with the Design manager ensure that timescales are met
  • Assist the Site Manager in leading teams
  • Work closely with the site commercial and design personal ensuring the necessary records are maintained and available as required
  • Promote and maintain good working relations with visiting consultants, stakeholders, neighbours and other third parties
  • Maintain the highest standard of site presentation at all times
  • Supervise various trades/labour staff
  • Monitor the performance and effectiveness of direct reports
  • Identify any potential site issues and escalate appropriately, resolve disputes should they arise
  • Prepare, implement and monitor Target Zero Defects procedures

Requirements for the role

  • SMSTS+
  • gold or Black CSCS card

* First aid at work

* A valid UK driving licence

* Own PPE - High vis vest, safety glasses, gloves, dust mask and hard hat can be provided by Daniel Owen
