Salary: GBP £40,000- £45,000 per Annum

Assistant Site Manager required in Exeter. Our client, a well-known national housebuilder with sites across Devon are recruiting an Assistant Site Manager. The role will be on a permanent basis, joining an existing site team on an established development in Exeter with around 10 years left of build. The role will offer a competitive salary, benefits package, ongoing training, and scope for career progression. It would suit a Trainee Assistant Site Manager looking to step up or an existing Assistant looking to start a career with an industry leading housebuilder.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory position on new build housing. They will have good knowledge of building materials & processes, ability to manage trades & labour effectively and have their SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at work qualifications.

Duties and responsibilities

* Ensuring that the project requirements, specifications, design drawings, health and safety proposals are all read, understood, and agreed and that a project programme is in place

* Prepare, implement and monitor company policies, detailed programmes, management plans, environmental and site-specific procedures to ensure that these are adhered to

* Assist the Site Manager in leading teams & sub-contractors

* Work closely with the site commercial and design personal ensuring the necessary records are maintained and available as required

* Promote and maintain good working relations with visiting consultants, stakeholders, neighbours and other third parties

* Supervise various trades/labour staff

* Prepare, implement and monitor Target Zero Defects procedures
