Job Description

Daniel Owen is currently working with an established facilities company based in the heart of London. They are currently looking for an experience Contract Manager coming from a hard services background with experience with corporate clients. The role is working permanently managing a range of static and mobile mechanical and electrical planned and reactive maintenance contracts ranging from £50k - £250k per annum.

Location: Mobile based out of Moorgate offices

Contract: Permanent

Working hours: 40 hour week, Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch.

Salary: £60-65k depending on experience

  • Ensure that routine planned, and preventative maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements according to contract scope.
  • Issue contract remedial quotes with assistance of Contract Administrator.
  • Carry out Combustion related works/ site cover where required, including minor/major gas-fed asset servicing and repairs.
  • Scope remedial work jobs from combustion work carried out confirming labour, materials, and operational information to quote to client.
  • Always ensure efficiency of resource scheduling by Helpdesk Co-ordinator to maximise productivity.
  • Carry out internal quality audits on staff and contracts, including bi-annual vehicle inspections, Quarterly site/ logbook audits.
  • Complete month-end reporting and monthly contract reconciliation.
  • Chair monthly engineers/team meetings and issue minutes detailing follow up actions.
  • Manage and communicate the on-going call out rota for our 24/7 out of hours service.
  • Oversee and audit specialist contractors to ensure quality of service in the representation of the Company.
  • Support QHSE with external accreditation audits i.e., ECA, Gas Safety etc
  • Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in both electronic PDA and site logbooks for completeness.
  • Line Management of all Engineering staff, duties including but not limited to; HR, Appraisals, Sick/Leave Documentation.
  • Manage engineering resource levels in line with Company demand and where required carry out the recruitment of new staff with the support of other departments.
  • Ensure that Engineering staff adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments which are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices by QHSE.
  • To develop a good working relationship with all members of staff, clients and site personnel.
  • Assist with the mobilisation of new contracts, working together with other departments to ensure correct setup of site and software.
  • Provide technical support to Sales teams where required.
  • Ensure a professional image is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
  • Carry out Annual appraisal meetings with managed staff and identify any opportunities for training, development to assist with competence and service offering.


  • Experience managing hard services contract
  • Technical mechanical & electrical background, ideally engineering

  • Able to lead and motivate a team
