We're looking for a highly experienced builder for a Contracts Manager role working directly for the property owners. Our client has an extensive property portfolio of over 70 properties in the UK which is continually growing. Properties are mostly industrial and commercial units. We are looking for a Project / Contracts Manager to deliver any and all refurbishments taking place with around 5 projects running at any one time. A typical refurbishment would be around £100-200k in value. This is very much a stand-alone in house role so the successful candidate must have considerable Construction knowledge and experience and confidently able to deliver a range of projects running concurrently. This will be a hands on role with the focus being on delivering value for money. You will have previous experience of refurbishments and minor works and robust all round knowledge of current construction costs.
Whilst many properties are clustered around the Birmingham area some are further afield so some travel will be necessary, however the role is based out of our clients head office in Birmingham. This opportunity has great prospects and there is every opportunity for growth within the role.
