I am looking for several Covid Test Centre Operatives to start work in the Darlington area week commencing January 4th for the local authority. Work is across six different static sites on mass testing centres.
My client is hosting a mass testing programme to support the testing of asymptomatic members of our community. This means testing people who do not have any Coronavirus symptoms to determine if they are carrying the Coronavirus infection and unknowingly passing it on. Having recently started our programme, we are increasing our capacity of tests to cover as much of our local community as possible, with six different test centres spread across the area.
Please state within your application which shifts are of interest in relation to assisting with the programme. Shifts are 7.30am to 4.30pm (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) or 11.30am to 8.30pm (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Shifts at the outreach centres may be slightly different times. Full training will be given for each role which includes, online training to be completed prior to starting a shift, (and you will be paid to undertake the online training) and on site training will also be given on the day of your shift. On site personal protected clothing (PPE) will be available for the duration of a shift. Should an employee wish to be tested prior to starting a shift, they will be welcome to do so, but this is not a requirement.
There are a range of different roles available and my client is looking to hire:
- Processing Operatives (Prepping samples, reading and logging results)
- Test Assistants (directing people round to the next station)
- Registration Assistants (singing people in, carrying out paperwork ect)
Roles range from £11.10 - £12 per hour depending on what role you are carrying out. Work provisionally until the end of February, possibly longer.
Please apply within or call the office ASAP on 0191 814 1360. Please be prepared to send over the following documents or your application will not be processed any further:
- NI Number
- A name and a number of a next of kin
- Two names and numbers for references
