Job Description

Daniel Owen are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the largest housing associations in the South East. Due to a recent organisation change they are now looking to grow their M&E / Compliance team and so are in need of a Mechanical & Electrical Stock Condition Surveyor.

The main focus of the role will be to provide M&E stock condition information.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • To undertake directly stock surveys, both independently and for audit purposes
  • To audit and maintain the M and E stock condition data base
  • To provide technical support to the team, and assist to interpret data to provide accurate advice on future investment for major works
  • To provide quality reports on specific defects or wider property issues
  • To provide frequent and regular reporting on information to assist in asset management department investment decisions, including disposals
  • Identify innovative solutions and development in standards or specifications within the sector that will improve value for money, provide more efficient ways of working and increase levels of customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with Development team to support with the implementation of stock.
  • Delivery of Mechanical and electrical condition data capture surveys
  • Advising and liaising with Service Delivery team and Commercial team.
  • Comply with established commercial/procurement/ contractual strategies.

Skills Required:

  • Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering degree Accredited by either IET and/or IMechE
  • Strong experience post degree (Pre-qualification relevant experience may be considered) in a similar role.
