Job Description

Daniel Owen are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the largest housing associations in the South East. Due to a recent organisation change they are now looking to grow their M&E / Compliance team and so are in need of a Mechanical Auditing Inspector.

The main focus of the role will be to carry out inspections and surveys on all gas and mechanical projects.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Apply professional knowledge of gas/mechanical services ensuring they represent the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulation

  • Carry out technical pre-and post-inspection on mechanical and gas works delivered by the Service Delivery teams contractors

  • Maintain accurate written and computerised records and collate and disseminate information

  • Monitor and supervise work completed by external consultants / contractors as required and proactively manage the key stakeholders relevant to specific works

  • Apply professional knowledge to review completed statutory compliance certification for accuracy supplied by contractors

  • Record and monitor remedial works arising out of service visits.

  • Provide asset information of installations including providing supporting evidence and list of any faults found.

  • Attend and carry out Forced entry process

Skills Required:

  • Working knowledge of the gas/mechanical services industry
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation including CDM
  • Intermediate IT skill including knowledge of the Microsoft Office package
  • Experience of social housing environment
  • Demonstrate experience and skills managing customer relationships to ensure a high level of customer care and satisfaction

Requirements for the role:

ACS qualification Domestic

  • Driving Licence
  • ACS qualification Domestic

  • City & Guilds training for legionella control
