We're looking for an experienced building surveyor on behalf of a respected owner / operator in the West Midlands. This role will be based purely at one site in the Birmingham area working within a small Building Services team. You will be acting as Contract Administrator on a variety of different projects ensuring projects are properly scoped and tendered being responsible for the entire project from inception to handover. You will advise on the appointment of contractors and external consultants. You will also be responsible for determining the condition of existing buildings identifying any defects and delivering associated repair works.
The successful candidate will probably bring at least 3-5 years experience working as a Building Surveyor or Project Manager / Surveyor either within a similar client side organisation, public body or consultancy. Ideally you will also be chartered either MRICS or MCIOB. You must have a strong track record in project delivery with experience of the contract management and administration role throughout the entire process delivering projects on budget and on schedule. We're looking for Building Surveyors / Project Managers with strong communication skills who can work effectively with a range of contractors and external consultants and focused on delivering a great end result to internal clients.
