Senior Quantity Surveyor - Oxford

£65,000 + Package


Job Type: Permanent
Start date: Immediate
Salary: £65k + Vehicle

Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join on of the fasted growing maintenance and construction contractors in the Country. This role is working in the social housing / building maintenance sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all the commercial aspects of projects from appraisal and validation of subcontractor applications
  • Cost Valuation Reporting
  • Submission & Negotiations of Final Accounts
  • Substantial experience in managing and surveying in the construction industry
  • Maintain established profit margins
  • Price all works in line with current market conditions
  • Improve where possible company profits
  • Ensure contracts are financially controlled, to budget and to the clients requirements
  • Manage procurement of subcontract packages and materials
  • Prepare tenders by measuring and calculating cost estimates, both direct labour and subcontract
  • Liaise regularly with contractors, suppliers and clients
  • Ensure project information, costs, profitability and value meet the requirements of designated projects
  • Work to demanding timescales within a successful team
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Preparing scopes and pricing works

  • A suitable and recognized qualification in building would be an advantage
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work accurately with figures
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Enthusiastic, Commercially aware
  • A Thorough knowledge of Current Forms of Contract
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Outstanding Organisational and Time Management Skills
  • A Proven Track Record
  • Stable employment with the same company/group for three years or more
  • Professional Qualifications and/or Institute Membership
  • Good References
