Job Description
I am currently partnering with one of the UK's leading developers of new build Social Housing Projects, in their search for an experienced Site Manager for a new site near Cannock.
Candidates will take full responsibility for driving all Site related activities concerning Programme, Quality, Health & Safety. The site is a 60 unit scheme of New Build Social Housing with a 65 week build programme, commencing December 2020.
Other key duties will include:
- Coordinating direct workforce and subcontract supply chain partners
- Managing materials to an efficient level
- Ensuring quality in line with NHBC / LABC standards
- Liaising with Client / Customer representatives during inspections and progress reviews
- Coordinating with Commercial Team to ensure contractual and commercial parameters are met
- Supporting and updating Contracts Manager with build programme
Candidates must demonstrate the following previous experience:
- Significant experience at Site Manager level on either new build Social or Private Housing development
- Contractual awareness and experience of working closely with Quantity Surveyor
- Ability to lead and communicate effectively with a diverse team and subcontractor workforce
- Good problem solving experience and ability to organise their own and teams workload
- Strong understanding of current Building and Health & Safety legislation
Skills / Qualifications:
- NVQ 5 or equivalent / time served tradesperson
- SMSTS / CSCS
- First Aid / Fire Marshall / Scaffolding Inspection
- NHBC / LABC award winner (highly advantageous)
