The future of our green infrastructure is dependent on our ability to manage these areas and assets in the right way, with the right people and skills in place to ensure Solihull is even greener for future generations to come.
We are looking for a skilled Forestry Officer to join our team who has a proactive approach to work. Written, verbal and listening skills are essential for this role.
You will have:
Detailed experience and knowledge to successfully manage both rural and urban tree stock and woodlands;
A wide experience of planning and delivering forestry projects and programmes;
Technical specialist knowledge of arboriculture techniques and practices including planning law with a complete understanding of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and database systems;
Ability to problem solve and manage own workload;
Work well within a team environment.
