Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Pay:

• £22 - £23 per hour (CIS) - Temporary Period
• Overtime opportunities available

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Damp & Mould Operative to join a reputable social housing contractor delivering reactive maintenance services across London.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering consistent work, long-term stability, and the chance to secure a permanent position with a well-established contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attending occupied and void social housing properties to carry out damp and mould treatment works
• Preparing surfaces and carrying out mould washes in line with health and safety guidelines
• Completing painting and decorating following treatment works
• Undertaking patch plastering to repair affected areas
• Carrying out basic plumbing tasks such as minor leak repairs and improving ventilation where required
• Diagnosing causes of damp and mould and reporting findings accurately
• Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes
• Using a PDA device to receive jobs, update progress, and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

• Proven experience in damp and mould treatment within social housing or property maintenance
• Competent in painting, patch plastering, and basic plumbing
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Full UK Driving Licence (manual preferred)
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
