Electrician (Repairs, Maintenance & Compliance)

Salary: £45,480.78 per annum + on-call allowance & benefits
Location: Hertfordshire (field-based)

About the Role

A reputable property services organisation is seeking a qualified Electrician to deliver high-quality maintenance, repairs, and installation works across a residential portfolio.

This role involves working on day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance, and improvement projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current regulations.

Working Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and installation works in domestic properties
• Ensure all work complies with current legislation and industry standards (BS7671)
• Deliver planned, cyclical, and responsive maintenance tasks
• Support refurbishment and void property works
• Complete all work within agreed timescales and performance targets
• Work in line with company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements
• Participate in an out-of-hours rota
• Undertake additional duties as reasonably required

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in a similar electrical role within housing or property maintenance
• Strong knowledge of domestic electrical systems, fault finding, and testing
• Ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382 - Requirements for Electrical Installations, BS7671)
• Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

Additional Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check (if required)
