Electrician - Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance

£38,000 - £42,000 per annum | Permanent | Full Time | 40 Hours per Week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a leading social housing repairs and maintenance contractor, covering domestic properties across the Waltham Forest area.

The Role

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of electrical repairs, testing, inspection, and installation works within occupied and void residential properties. Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to residents while ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out electrical repairs and fault finding
  • Completing electrical installation works
  • Undertaking EICR testing and inspections
  • Delivering planned and reactive maintenance
  • Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service within residents' homes
  • Accurately recording completed works and compliance documentation

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a domestic or social housing environment and be confident working independently to diagnose faults and provide effective solutions.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation - Buildings & Structures) or equivalent
  • Level 3 Certificate/Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
  • ECS Gold Card
  • Proven experience carrying out domestic electrical repairs, testing, and installations
  • Full UK Driving Licence (held for a minimum of 12 months)
