Daniel Owen are currently working with a specialist roofing contractor who are seeking an experienced Flat Roof Estimator to join their commercial team.

Our client operates within the flat roofing sector, delivering projects across new build and refurbishment schemes. With a strong pipeline of secured work, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing business.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing accurate, commercially competitive estimates and supporting the successful handover of projects to the operational team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and breakdowns

• Producing bills of quantities and pricing schedules

• Managing and pricing variations on live projects

• Maintaining accurate records of tenders and quotations

• Liaising closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery

• Supporting the development of ongoing client relationships

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in flat roofing estimating (essential)

• Strong Excel skills (experience with take-off software advantageous)

• Good understanding of construction methods across new build and refurbishment projects

• Strong commercial awareness and high attention to detail

• Able to commute to the Reading area

• Professional, team-focused approach
