Facilities Duty Manager - Teesside
Salary: £33,000-£36,000 (DOE)
Location: Teesside (on-site)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Reporting to: Services Manager
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 2 off (mix of earlies & lates)
- 2 x 08:00-16:00
- 2 x 12:00-22:00
- then 2 days off
The Role
A varied, fast-paced operational role overseeing security, cleaning and maintenance on a large outdoor scheme. We're particularly interested in candidates with strong retail experience to strengthen the existing Duty Manager team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Day-to-day duty management of soft services, ensuring excellent delivery across security, cleaning, maintenance and reception/customer services
- Lead and coordinate a team of 10 on-site staff; manage cover, standards, and performance
- Conduct H&S / pre-open / close patrols, incident response and reporting (Geopal / DISC or site reporting lines)
- Drive service standards through audits, checksheets/logs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage cleaning schedules, weekly audits, COSHH compliance, stock control and uniform ordering (within budget)
- Maintain relationships with centre management, occupiers, contractors and stakeholders (including local authority / crime initiative)
- Support KPI/SLA reporting and the client's environmental objectives (including waste strategy and recycling effectiveness)
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience in Security, Cleaning or Operational Supervisory/Management (retail background strongly preferred)
- Confident people leader with strong customer service mindset
- Solid H&S awareness; comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- IT confident (Teams, Excel, Word)
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (training can be provided)
- SIA licence, First Aid at Work, IOSH
