Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Door Joiner for a temporary contract working within live sheltered accommodation. This role involves the removal and re-installation of fire doors, ensuring all works are completed to the highest safety and compliance standards.

This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work respectfully in an occupied environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Rip out and removal of existing fire doors

• Re-installation of new fire doors and frames

• Building frames out where required

• Installation of locks, hinges, and associated ironmongery

• Easing and adjusting doors for correct operation

• Fire stopping and lining of doors

• Ensuring all works comply with current fire safety regulations

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

• CSCS Card

• Proven experience installing and maintaining fire doors

• Strong knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance standards

• Competent in fitting locks, hinges, and door furniture

• Experience working in live/sheltered accommodation preferred

• Own tools and PPE required

• Ability to work independently and complete work to a high standard
