Salary: £38,202.00 per annum
We have an opportunity for a skilled and experienced Floor Layer to join a dedicated housing repairs and maintenance team in Ealing, working in partnership with Brent Council, carrying out a wide range of flooring installations, repairs and maintenance across residential properties while delivering a reliable, high-quality and professional service to local residents.
Responsibilities:
- Installing and renewing sheet vinyl flooring, ensuring smooth, bubble-free finishes and sealed seams.
- Laying ceramic and other types of tiles, including cutting, aligning, grouting, and sealing.
- Fitting cap and cove wet room flooring, creating seamless, waterproof surfaces with curved wall edges.
- Preparing subfloors by cleaning, repairing, and priming surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Applying self-levelling compounds and screed to create smooth, even bases.
- Carrying out flooring works in kitchens, bathrooms, communal areas, and void properties.
- Measuring and accurately cutting flooring materials to fit around fixtures and obstacles.
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicles to a high standard.
- Logging work progress and updates using a PDA system.
- Communicating professionally with tenants, clients, and colleagues.
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
- Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS)
