Job Title: Multi Trade Operative (Temp to Perm)
Location: Borehamwood and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £18-£20 per hour (PAYE)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established team delivering reactive maintenance within social housing properties across Borehamwood and surrounding areas. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability and consistent work.

About the Role:
This role involves carrying out reactive repairs in occupied social housing properties. You will attend a variety of jobs, diagnosing issues and completing repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong core trade in plumbing, carpentry, or plastering, alongside the ability to carry out a range of additional maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out reactive maintenance and day-to-day repairs within occupied social housing
• Diagnose faults and complete first-time fixes wherever possible
• Deliver high-quality work across your core trade and other disciplines
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
• Provide a professional and courteous service to residents

Requirements:

• Proven experience working in reactive maintenance, ideally within social housing
• Strong core trade skills in plumbing, carpentry, or plastering
• Ability to carry out multi-trade works to a good standard
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Strong customer service and communication skills
