Salary: £39,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Multi Trade Operative with either a carpentry or plumbing bias to join a leading housing provider. In this role, you will deliver high-quality reactive repairs, refurbishments, and planned maintenance services across social housing properties in Staines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out a wide range of reactive and planned maintenance works in occupied and void properties

  • Carpentry bias: Installing and repairing doors, frames, locks, windows, kitchen units, worktops, and general carpentry repairs

  • Plumbing bias: General plumbing repairs, fitting bathrooms, replacing sanitary ware, pipework repairs, and fault finding

  • Completing associated multi-trade tasks including basic plastering, tiling, and decorating

  • Diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations

  • Using an electronic handheld device to receive instructions, log completed works, and update job records

  • Providing excellent customer service and representing the organisation in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (manual)

  • Basic DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)

  • Proven experience within social housing or property maintenance

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Carpentry or Plumbing preferred

  • Strong multi-trade capability and ability to work independently
