Painter & Decorator - School Maintenance

Location: Sunderland & Gateshead
Duration: Minimum 6 weeks, with potential for ongoing work
Rate: £22 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for experienced Painters & Decorators to carry out maintenance and refurbishment works across schools in Sunderland and Gateshead.

This is initially a minimum 6-week contract, with the potential for ongoing work for the right candidates.

Duties

• Internal and external painting and decorating
• Preparation of surfaces
• Filling, sanding and priming
• Applying paint to walls, ceilings, doors and other areas
• General maintenance and redecoration works
• Working around an operational school environment
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area

Requirements

• CSCS card - essential
• Previous commercial or school painting experience
• Clean criminal record - essential
• Own tools
• Own transport
• Manual Handling
• Working at Heights
• Asbestos Awareness
• Reliable and professional approach
