About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Planner to join a busy repairs and maintenance team based in Walton-on-Thames on a temporary ongoing contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual with experience in scheduling repairs, coordinating operatives, and delivering excellent customer service within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate responsive repairs, maintenance works, and appointments.
• Allocate jobs to operatives and contractors to maximise productivity and meet service level agreements.
• Monitor and manage diaries, ensuring appointments are efficiently planned.
• Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to provide updates on repair appointments.
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and repair enquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Reschedule appointments where necessary and proactively manage any delays.
• Ensure all repairs are accurately logged and updated on the relevant housing management systems.
• Work closely with supervisors and operational teams to ensure repairs are completed within target timescales.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service while resolving scheduling issues effectively.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Repairs Planner, Scheduler, or in a similar repairs coordination role.
• Experience within social housing, property maintenance, or repairs and maintenance is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Competent using Microsoft Office and repairs scheduling or housing management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
