Repairs Supervisor - Social Housing
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join a well-established and growing social housing contractor delivering responsive maintenance and planned works across South East London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated supervisor with a strong background in social housing repairs who can lead operational teams, drive performance, and deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
The Role
As a Repairs Supervisor, you will oversee a team of directly employed operatives and subcontractors carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties. You will be responsible for ensuring contractual KPIs are achieved while maintaining excellent relationships with residents, clients, and internal stakeholders.
This is a field-based role covering boroughs across South East London.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of multi-trade operatives and specialist subcontractors.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor daily workloads to maximise productivity and first-time fix performance.
- Carry out pre-inspections, post-inspections, and quality assurance checks on completed works.
- Ensure all repairs are completed in line with client specifications, service level agreements, and contractual KPIs.
- Manage health and safety compliance across all works, ensuring safe systems of work are always followed.
- Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to operatives on complex repairs.
- Monitor materials, labour, and subcontractor performance to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records using PDA devices and repairs management systems.
- Attend client meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Support the delivery of excellent customer satisfaction across all contracts.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Repairs Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, or Responsive Repairs Supervisor within social housing.
- Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and property maintenance.
- Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT skills, including experience with repairs management systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
