The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join a well-established social housing organisation covering the North West London area. This is an excellent opportunity for a repairs professional looking for a long-term position, with the role initially offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

You will be responsible for supervising day-to-day repairs and maintenance activities across a residential housing stock, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard while maintaining excellent levels of customer service.

The Role

As Repairs Supervisor, you will oversee a team of trades operatives and subcontractors, managing the delivery of responsive repairs across occupied and void properties.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and coordinating a team of multi-skilled trades operatives.
• Managing daily workloads, allocating jobs and monitoring productivity.
• Ensuring responsive repairs are completed within agreed timescales and service standards.
• Carrying out regular property inspections and quality checks.
• Monitoring operatives' performance, workmanship and compliance with company procedures.
• Liaising with residents to resolve repair issues and provide a high level of customer service.
• Managing subcontractors where required and ensuring works are completed to specification.
• Identifying and resolving issues that may impact on programme, quality or customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring all works comply with relevant health & safety requirements.
• Completing reports, updating systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting the management team with performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Dealing with escalated repairs and customer complaints professionally and effectively.

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong background in social housing repairs or property maintenance, ideally with previous supervisory or team-leading experience.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience supervising responsive repairs within social housing.
• Experience managing trades operatives and/or subcontractors.
• Good knowledge of housing repairs, maintenance and building practices.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to organise workloads and prioritise effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Good IT and administrative skills.
• The confidence to deal with residents, operatives, contractors and senior management.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable.
