Senior / Associate Cost Consultant

We're looking for a Consultant from a Quantity Surveying (PQS or Employer's Agent) background to undertake an specialist role offering advice at a strategic level to clients including developers, local authorities and finance providers. This opportunity is with a leading property consultancy in Birmingham city centre whose service offering includes fund monitoring and due diligence work for lenders and investors, conducting development appraisals and viability assessments evaluating cost plans. You will be providing advice on schemes throughout the build process from initial risk appraisals through to completion. They also undertake a similar Compliance Inspector role on residential developments, as well as Reinstatement Cost Assessments all alongside some traditional Project QS work.

We're ideally looking for an experienced consultant from a Quantity Surveying background for this role and we will be looking for someone with good all round construction knowledge particularly within the residential / housing sector. You must have a good understanding of costs and construction contracts. It's a role that demands good analytical skills and good attention to detail as well as being comfortable in a client facing role.

This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge and or something a little different. It will largely move away from project work but still draw upon your project experience to date and allow you to work with a wider range of blue chip clients on a wide range of interesting instructions.
