Setting Out Engineer - High-End Residential Project

Daniel Owen are currently looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a high-end residential refurbishment project in London.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a prestigious existing building conversion where accuracy and attention to detail are critical. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out works on a room-by-room basis, ensuring all trades are working to the correct lines, levels, and dimensions throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out internal works within an existing high-end residential property.
• Room-by-room setting out for partitions, joinery, finishes, and associated construction elements.
• Interpreting and working from drawings and specifications.
• Carrying out regular quality checks to ensure works are delivered to the highest standard.
• Liaising closely with the Site Manager, subcontractors, and design team.
• Maintaining accurate records and as-built information where required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on residential or refurbishment projects.
• Experience working within existing buildings and complex refurbishment environments.
• Proficient in the use of total stations and surveying equipment.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• CSCS Card required.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
