Site Engineer - Civils Project (Portishead)

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major civil engineering project in Portishead on a 12-month contract, with an immediate start available.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering a large-scale civils scheme, supporting the site team across a range of infrastructure works. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in a high-profile project with a strong pipeline of activity.

Scope of Works

• Enabling works
• Construction of new access roads
• Section 278 (S278) highway works, including:
  • Road widening
  • New junctions and roundabouts
  • Kerbing and drainage installation
  • Street lighting installation and upgrades
  • Traffic signage and road markings
  • Traffic management implementation
  • Utility diversions and service coordination

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works in accordance with drawings and specifications
• Ensuring works are delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety
• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams
• Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information
• Supporting the delivery of works to programme

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civils projects
• Strong background in highways and/or groundworks
• Experience delivering S278 works is highly desirable
