Hours: 36 hours per week
Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella)

Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a well-known company based in the South London, Sutton area who are looking for a highly skilled Targeted Housing Advisor to join their team.

Key Responsibilities - Targeted Housing Advisor:

• Provide specialist housing advice to residents at risk of homelessness.
• Assess homelessness applications in line with Part 6 and Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996, as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2018.
• Progress cases through Prevention and Relief Duty, supporting residents to secure and maintain accommodation.
• Issue Section 184 decisions and develop meaningful Personal Housing Plans (PHPs).
• Provide advice on security of tenure, welfare benefits, and homelessness prevention strategies.
• Work closely with internal teams and external partner agencies to achieve positive housing outcomes.
• Assess and support applicants experiencing domestic abuse in line with the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.
• Maintain accurate case notes and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and housing law.
• Experience issuing S184 decisions and creating Personal Housing Plans.
• Excellent communication, case management, and customer service skills.
