Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum + car/ car allowance + package

Contract Type: Permanent

The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Project Manager to join our team. This role is ideally suited to a highly motivated individual at the early stages of their career who is looking to gain structured, hands-on experience in project management within a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with experienced project managers and gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, including commercial aspects of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects from inception through to completion
  • Support the preparation of project programmes, schedules, and cost plans
  • Monitor project progress against timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, risk registers, and change logs
  • Attend site visits and project meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions
  • Support procurement processes and contract administration activities
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and submission of quotes and tenders
  • Develop a commercially minded approach, supporting cost control and value engineering where appropriate
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards at all stages of the project

Candidate Profile:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Commercially aware, with an interest in understanding project costs, pricing, and tendering processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management tools is advantageous
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a genuine interest in developing a career in project management
