Salary: £40,977.48 per annum

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Void Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established housing organisation within the social housing sector, recognised for delivering high standards of service.

In this role, you will carry out multi-trade repairs, maintenance, and refurbishments within void properties, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and ready for new tenants. Your work will directly support the smooth turnaround of properties, helping to maintain high-quality homes for residents and contributing to a dependable, professional service that the community can rely on.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out a range of works in void properties, including carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, and general maintenance.
  • Ensuring all properties are prepared to a high standard for re-letting.
  • Using a PDA or similar device to manage schedules, record progress, and maintain accurate job records.
  • Diagnosing faults efficiently and carrying out repairs to ensure compliance with company standards, building regulations, and health and safety requirements.
  • Working professionally in vacant properties, maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
  • Participating in a rotational on-call rota to support urgent repairs or emergency works outside normal hours.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or Carpentry (preferred)
