We know how important it is to connect people with the right skills and advice to help them move forward in their careers. So when Morgan Sindall's Property Services division asked us to support their skills day in partnership with a local authority via Pathways, we were keen to get stuck in.
Pathways is part of Basildon Borough Council and works hard to improve the skills, training and job prospects of local residents. We’ve partnered with them before, and our track record in career support meant we were the first choice to help make the day a success.
A day focused on people
Championed by Alix Webb, the DO joined forces with Morgan Sindall and Pathways to run sessions designed to boost employability and confidence. The day was all about practical, tailored advice.
We spent time in one-to-one sessions, getting to know their backgrounds and working together on the skills they need to stand out to employers. Some were school leavers looking to create their first CV. Others were parents ready to re-enter the workplace. There were also people looking for a fresh start after a career change.
No matter their experience, we made sure each person left with tips they could put into action straight away.
Why these events matter
Pathways hosts events like this often; every Basildon resident has access to great training and career advice to move forward. Daniel Owen's involvement ensures attendees are well-equipped with the best guidance to find work and build a brighter future.
This initiative isn't just about careers, it’s about community. Working alongside Morgan Sindall Property Services and Pathways, we can help create real opportunities that make a difference to people’s lives.
Our commitment to helping the local community
We regularly work with local councils and clients to deliver career-focused events. From CV writing workshops in schools to job fairs for local residents, our teams are ready to share expertise and help you meet your community and social value goals.
If you’re thinking about running your own career advice day, we’d be happy to work with you to make it a success.
