The FMJ recently shared the overall findings from this year’s Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management’s (IWFM) Market Outlook report. It reflects the broader economic picture: challenges of supply chain squeezes; creeping inflation – especially energy prices; and a skills shortage pinching sharply.

However, the general outlook seems to be one of recovery and optimism, linked largely to expectations of a reactivated sector as workers return to offices.

In line with industry trends, the Facilities Management Division of Daniel Owen is also experiencing positive growth this year. Temporary and permanent placements have increased, and we are currently busy meeting the demand for additional candidates for clients across the country. Typical essential roles include: cleaners, security guards, porters, receptionists and other front of house workers, including call handlers, as well as roles in property maintenance, such as engineers, handypersons, electricians, plumbers and more.

As well as filling temporary roles, we have also successfully placed excellent candidates in permanent senior management and director level positions within the Facilities Management sector. Our commitment to personal service for both client and candidate is one of the reasons why we are a recruiter of choice in this area.
