Compliance Coordinator - Fire Safety

Salary: £30,787 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00
Location: Fully Office Based

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Compliance Coordinator to join a busy team within the fire safety industry.

This is a varied role combining compliance coordination, administration and PA-style support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across different areas of the business and is confident managing multiple priorities.

Previous experience within the fire safety or fire protection industry is essential, as the successful candidate will need a good understanding of industry terminology, compliance requirements and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain compliance documentation, records and certification.
  • Monitor inspection, servicing and maintenance schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with engineers, clients, contractors and internal teams regarding compliance requirements.
  • Ensure relevant documentation and certificates are accurately recorded and up to date.
  • Assist with audits, reports and general compliance administration.
  • Manage diaries, meetings, appointments and schedules for senior members of the team.
  • Prepare documents, correspondence, reports and presentations as required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor outstanding actions and ensure these are followed up and completed.
  • Maintain accurate databases, spreadsheets and company records.
  • Provide general administrative and PA support across the business.
  • Handle confidential information professionally and appropriately.
  • Support the wider team with ad-hoc administrative and coordination tasks.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within the fire safety / fire protection industry.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with compliance documentation and processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • A professional and confident telephone manner.
  • The ability to work independently while also supporting a wider team.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to identify and chase outstanding actions.
