Electrician - Responsive Maintenance (Social Housing)

Salary: £43,056 + Call-Out Allowance
Job Type: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join its Responsive Repairs team delivering maintenance and void property works across Woking Borough Council's housing stock.

Key Duties

• Electrical testing, inspection and fault finding.
• Reactive repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties.
• Domestic rewires and electrical installations.
• Kitchen, bathroom and heating system electrical upgrades.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection (or equivalent).
• 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• DBS check required.
• 2-5 years' experience within Social Housing, Property Maintenance or Building Maintenance.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working directly with tenants and customers.
• Ability to manage workload independently and work efficiently.
• Committed to health & safety and delivering a first-time fix approach.
