Repairs Planner - Social Housing

Location: Walton-on-Thames
Salary: £17.84 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Working Arrangement: Fully Office Based

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Planner to join a busy Social Housing team based in Walton-on-Thames.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling repairs and maintenance works, ensuring jobs are allocated efficiently to operatives and residents are kept updated throughout the process.

This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordinating repairs and maintenance appointments
• Allocating jobs to operatives based on location, availability and priority
• Managing a busy repairs diary and ensuring appointments are met
• Liaising with residents regarding appointments and repair enquiries
• Communicating with operatives, contractors and internal teams
• Monitoring outstanding and completed works
• Rescheduling appointments where required
• Updating internal systems accurately
• Prioritising urgent and emergency repairs
• Ensuring residents receive a professional and efficient service
• Dealing with any issues or delays and escalating where appropriate

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Planner, Repairs Planner, Scheduler or Coordinator
• Experience within Social Housing, Property Services, Repairs or Maintenance
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
• Good attention to detail and accurate administration skills
• Strong IT and systems experience
• The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
