Carpenter Multi / UPVC - Empty Homes Team

Salary: £32,880 - £38,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Bournemouth
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Carpenter Multi / UPVC operative to join their Property Services / Empty Homes Team covering the Bournemouth area. This is a hands-on role focused on preparing and maintaining vacant properties to a high standard, ensuring homes are ready for re-let.

You will be working across a variety of residential properties and will be provided with a company van and fuel card due to the mobile nature of the role.

Health and safety is a priority, and you'll be supported to work safely and effectively at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out carpentry repairs and installations within empty and occupied properties

  • 1st and 2nd fix carpentry works

  • Installation of internal and external doors, door frames, and windows

  • UPVC installation, servicing, and repairs

  • Locksmith duties including gaining entry (lock snapping, drilling, picking)

  • Installation and repair of fencing (posts, feather edge, chain link, panels)

  • Kitchen fitting, kitchen unit assembly, and minor joinery works

  • Undertaking basic multi-trade tasks including plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating, and general maintenance as required

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within residential or social housing

  • NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or a minimum of 5 years' proven carpentry experience

  • Strong understanding of health & safety best practices

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Full UK driving licence (minimum 1 year held) and willingness to take home a company van
