Electrician

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Electrician , carrying out day-to-day responsive repairs across social housing properties. You will work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team, ensuring homes remain safe, functional, and compliant.

This is a customer-facing role, so professionalism and strong communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive electrical repairs in occupied and void social housing properties.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults quickly and efficiently.
• Undertake minor electrical installations, and upgrades
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and internal safety standards.
• Maintain accurate job records using mobile or digital reporting systems.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional approach at all times.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• C&G 2391 (or equivalent qualification in Inspection & Testing).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience working in social housing, domestic maintenance, or responsive repairs.
• Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently.

Desirable

• Experience using PDA/handheld job management systems.
• Additional electrical or compliance-related qualifications.
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements in occupied properties.
