Location: Central Middlesex Hospital, NW10
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified and reliable Electrical Engineer (Level 3) to join the Facilities Management team at Central Middlesex Hospital. This is a critical site requiring a high standard of electrical maintenance, compliance, and customer service to support a live healthcare environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the hospital, ensuring all systems are safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems in line with statutory and contractual requirements
Maintain, fault-find, and repair single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
Undertake maintenance of lighting systems, emergency lighting, power distribution, small power, and containment
Complete electrical testing, inspections, and associated documentation
Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and faults within agreed KPIs
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, HTMs, and site policies
Accurately complete job reports, logbooks, and compliance records
Escort and oversee specialist subcontractors when required
Communicate effectively with site management, clinical staff, and colleagues
Participate in the on-call rota when required
Skills & Experience Required
Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent
Completed recognised electrical apprenticeship
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) - essential
Proven experience working in building services maintenance
Experience in a healthcare or critical environment is highly desirable
Good understanding of PPM schedules and reactive maintenance
Ability to work independently and as part of a site team
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Good IT literacy for CAFM systems and compliance reporting
Excellent communication and customer service skills
