Traffic Marshal / Site Operative - Bedford

Start Date: Early March

Duration: Approx. 6 Months

Location: Bedford

We're looking for an experienced and dependable Traffic Marshal / site operative to support a busy construction project in Bedford. This role offers around six months of consistent work starting in early March and would suit someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, well‑organised site.

Key Responsibilities

• Unlocking and locking up the site daily

• Receiving, coordinating, and managing deliveries and general external traffic

• Monitoring and maintaining site housekeeping standards

• Regular cleaning and upkeep of welfare areas

• Managing storage areas and ensuring waste is cleared to skips frequently

• Overseeing the sign‑in desk and ensuring all personnel sign in and out correctly

• Monitoring and reporting any site concerns or safety issues to the site manager

• Maintaining site signage, green routes, barriers, and fencing

• Directing and coordinating on‑site labourer(s)

• Carrying out general labouring duties and assisting with distribution tasks

Requirements

• Valid Traffic Marshal / Banksman ticket

• CSCS card

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• Previous experience in a similar role is highly beneficial

• Full PPE
