Supporting Grassroots Sport Through Our Partnership with Panthers Elite Netball Club

At Daniel Owen, we believe success is about more than business performance. It's about investing in people, creating opportunities, and supporting the communities we're part of.

That's why, when we decided to sponsor a grassroots sports team, we made a conscious decision to support girls' sport. We wanted to help provide opportunities for young female athletes who often receive less commercial backing than their male counterparts.

That decision led us to Panthers Elite Netball Club, and the partnership has continued to go from strength to strength.

A Season to Celebrate

Panthers Elite Netball Club is home to more than 200 young players who train and compete every week. Throughout the season, the club has achieved some incredible milestones, both on and off the court.

From league titles and tournament successes to charity events supporting the local community, the club continues to demonstrate the values that make grassroots sport so important.

Players have also been given the opportunity to experience the elite side of the game through initiatives such as London Pulse's Road to the Copper Box programme, showcasing the talent and potential that exists throughout the club.

More Than Just Sport

While the trophies and medals are a fantastic achievement, what stands out most is the personal development taking place every week.

Through netball, these young athletes are building confidence, resilience, teamwork skills and lasting friendships. These are qualities that will benefit them throughout their lives, both on and off the court.

Grassroots sport plays a vital role in helping young people develop important life skills, and clubs like Panthers Elite create an environment where players can thrive, challenge themselves and grow.

Why It Matters

Community sport relies on the support of volunteers, families and local businesses. By investing in grassroots girls' sport, organisations can help create opportunities that might not otherwise exist and ensure young athletes have access to the facilities, coaching and experiences they deserve.
