BTA & EUSR Groundworkers

Daniel Owen Ltd is currently seeking skilled and reliable Groundworkers to join an upcoming project located in West London. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals with the required certifications to secure consistent work on a long-term infrastructure site.
This role will involve weekend-based shifts, including both day and night work, so flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Groundworker on this project, you will be expected to:
Carry out all aspects of groundworks including digging, concreting, kerbing, drainage, and reinstatement.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of site access routes and working areas.
Operate small plant and tools in a safe and effective manner (if trained).
Follow technical drawings and plans provided by engineers or site supervisors.
Work alongside other trades and contractors to ensure a smooth workflow on-site.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, adhering to site protocols and reporting any hazards or issues immediately.
Support the installation and repair of utility services where required.
Complete all works in line with project timelines and quality expectations.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you MUST have the following:
BTA (Basic Track Awareness) - essential for working within the railway or associated environments.
EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) - demonstrating competency in utility works.
Proven experience working as a Groundworker on construction or infrastructure projects.
Willingness and availability to work weekends, including both day and night shifts as scheduled.
A strong understanding of site health & safety practices.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from site management.
Good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the work.
Desirable (but not essential):
CSCS Card
Manual Handling and First Aid certifications
Small plant tickets (e.g. Forward Tipping Dumper, Roller)
Experience on rail or civils-based projects
